Carbs after lunch? Yea or Nay?

Hello dreamers!

So i wanted to answer a myth we’ve all been told about, carbs after lunch is bad for you! Is it true or false?

Well there’s a lot that comes along with that: Your level of activity, when you actually sleep and what type of carbs you eat!

First your level of activity, normally our activity lessens throughout the day, but when we have one of those days when we’re heading to the gym at night or have something else  planned. You will need the energy! So in this case, eat 30 mins to an hour before the gym to get the energy you need!

Second is when you actually sleep, the reason carbs has been as a bad thing is because like I said before, normally people sleep at 10 pm or even earlier! That is why its been said to stop carbs after lunch. Normally you should stop eating 3-4 hours before you sleep but if you have a small snack then it shouldn’t be a problem.

Lastly, one important factor is the type of carbs you’re eating. First is simple carbohydrates (Bad carbs!). White is the worst, because it sky highs your insulin production, which basically blocks your fat cells from being used. That’s why people try to avoid it as much as they can. Then we have complex carbohydrates (Good carbs!). Which in this case is whole grain bread. It is absorbed more slowly than white bread, making you feel fuller and doesn’t increase your insulin levels as much (which is a good thing).
